Semi-finalist of the 1986 Tchaikovsky in Moscow, Lawrence Figg is cellist of the Kansas City Symphony.  He was previously member of the Boulez’s Ensemble Intercomtemporain and principal cello for the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine (Bordeaux, France) under the baton of Alain Lombard.
